Please keep in mind that most breeders of field Gordon Setters are doing their best to improve their lines but to find the right Gordon Setter for you, your wants and needs should align with what the particular breeder is trying to accomplish. For instance, at Springset, we were trying to build one heck of a bird hunter and family member (like your grandparents used to have) while intensifying those genetics. Our goal was obviously centered on the hunter and his family, wherever in the world they may be.
